For now the workaround would be to invite your friends to a private room (by room name) and add them with the blue “+” button (tap their names on the in-game leader board to bring this menu).

Anytime I pick “Your Contact List” to invite a friend my game crashes. I want to play with my husband and he already has a user name in the game. How do I find him to play with him? We’re trying to play Ping Pong. Thanks for your help!
How about when round 15 is over (end match) it shows you who won? I never see my final score, so I dont know how I did. Some peoples final scores dont show up either.
Also I may be doing it worng but I pushed the blue + next to someones name in game and nothing happened/popped up. Isn’t that add friend?
puppylover, there is an issue with the Your Contact List button affecting a portion of users, it’s already fixed in an update which is being approved at apple, and will likely go live early next week.
For now the workaround would be to invite your husband to a private room (by room name) and add him with the blue “+” button (tap his name on the in-game leader board to bring this menu).
A couple of additional requests, regarding social interaction:
1) Can a private room have chat ability while we are waiting for the final player and have the private room waiting for a game to begin for a longer time? We kept timing out while waiting for one player so we could add him to our friends.
2) Can their be a game chat ability? i.e. an ability to comment on the drawings of our friends and apologise for doing a rotten job on our own drawings.
3) Will you be adding a way to view the stats of friends? I can see the need to hide Town/City, but the rest of the info would be nice to see.
Is there no city support for Canada right now?
I’m in Toronto and my location is activated, but it still tells me I’m in Dreamland and Dreamville.
Also, for the future Plus+, would we be using our Charadium usernames connected to the email they were registered under or the Plus+ usernames?

Thank you for trying to help but my husband and I still can’t seem to play Ping Pong. We were able to play a game of Classic Charadium by using a private room but when we try to play Ping Pong, there is no option to access a private room. If we try to search for “Friends in Game”, neither of our user names will come up for each other. Is there a step we are missing?
Also, we will be more than willing to pay for this game if we can determine whether it will work for us. As of now, it tends to crash quite often and without being able to play Ping Pong, we aren’t getting the experience we need to make a purchase decision. We prefer to play a turn-based game rather than the rapid-fire classic game.

@puppylover, you have to tap the + button next to their name – if they are drawing tap the > to display the warning, star and +, then tap the +. It will flash briefly, and then you are friends, and will be able to start a ping pong game with them.
@On5 – new bug – seems every now and then during a ping pong game, the drawing will fill with scribbles, and I have to guess by the clues, but when the turn finishes, the drawing shows fine. I hope this is in the fix that is in with Apple.
1) I think you should be add the possibility to delete friends, because sometimes I add people by mistake and now I have players I don’t know on my friends list.
2) Also, a good chat system wouldn’t be bad, let’s say on Ping Pong or at the “waiting players” room.
3) I would love to be able to see the stats and profile of my friends, that would be awesome!!! 🙂
Overall the game is just great, it was an instabut for me when it came out and I’m playing like all the time! Thank you!!

puppylover, yes, as EvilMummy mentioned, when you are in a live game you should have no problems adding each other as friends. After that you can create Ping-Pong games with each others. Hope this helps!

Is there going to be a button on the main screen to browse your friends? That would be helpful. Also to see what they are doing at the moment wither online, in game, offline so I know who to invite?

I wish I could give a review! My husband and I still cannot play Ping Pong on the free version, even though we’ve followed all the different suggestions. Last night I wasn’t even able to enter a private room. I rebooted my iPhone several times and redownloaded the app several times with no luck. Each time I tried to enter a private room it crashed on me. Is everyone having these buggy issues with the free version? Like I said earlier, we’ll be more than happy to pay for the app IF we can be sure that it’s going to work for us. Right now, we just can’t say yes to that. Please, can anyone tell us if this is going to get better?
The paid version works great. I have had no problem with ping pong games. You also get all the colors and brushes, so it’s a lot more fun. I actually tried the free just out of curiosity, but the full featured game is way better.
For 99c on sale at the moment it’s a steal. A lot more fun for the price of a pack of gum, lol, why not give it a try?

I want to play a game with my friend, who was finally able to figure out how to start a room, but I 1) can’t pull her up on the Contacts list, even though she has Charadium and 2) can’t figure out how to find the “room” she created.

Ok. I pulled up her room, but the only option I get is to “invite friends”…which puts me right back where I started when trying to play a Ping Pong game: Contacts. And despite her having Charadium, updated, she does not show up under “has Charadium”. So here I go again-“Invite” which does nothing but opens up an email.
btw- this is the paid version! It hasn’t worked ONCE. I’m sorry, but I’m extremely frustrated. My patience has worn very thin.
Your friend will not show up as “has charadium” until they have signed into facebook through their charadium too.
To make a private room, you go to classic charadium>access private room, and then just make up a name. Tell your friend what the name is and they should be able to join you there.
Once you are in the same room, you can add them to contacts by clicking on the + sign next to where the star and warning symbol is. After that they will always show up in your met in game friends.
I have played quite a few private games with friends and so far so good. It’s a lot of fun.
If she set up her Charadium with her email address, does she also have to sign in with a Facebook account? I don’t think she’ll play, if that’s the case.

:), when does it crash: during the game, or in the menu, of when pressing some buttons?
When you start a classic live game you will join a room in any state, like the ‘Quick game’ did in the old Charadium. After that, “Play again” button will start a ‘Full game’ for you, from round 1.
The point is to avoid situations when you start playing and people are gradually leaving the room, and at some point you remain there alone. Just because there is nobody to enter this old room: everyone is served a fresh room. So, people who just started playing populate older rooms to avoid them becoming empty, and then start new full games.
We have just deployed a server side fix addressing issues that you were unable to see your Address Book friends who have the game. Now they should appear automatically as your friends! Please RESTART THE APP (killing it with (-) in the multitasking pane) for this to take effect. Let us know if you still experience any problems with that.
One suggestion I noticed was that my phone used to vibrate to alert me that it was my turn to draw.
This doesn’t happen with Charadium II and I’ve grown quite used to it.
Any chance in this being added in a future update?

It does still occasionally crash but at least it’s now holding our log-in and we’re able to play. Whoo hoo! We’ll be purchasing the game tomorrow if everything goes well for the rest of they day. The keyboard is not responsive as the first charadium
and it really takes away from the fun of playing pictionary, as one needs to be fast when guessing.
Numerous times when I post an answer it is missing many letters even though I pressed all the letters..

I continually have problems with the paid version. Seems to have many many many bugs. I am able to finish 1 out of 3 games without problems.
Today’s problem was also not resolved by rebooting iPad2 and deleting and reinstalling app. So I had yet another game that remained stuck; this time when it was my turn to draw, the 3 green boxes came up…that usually have words in them to draw from, only there were no words in them. After shutting down, rebooting, deleting/reinstalling (the ritual I am forced into every other day…in vain) there were still 3 blank green boxes. So I tried to select one, just to make the game progress, but that doesn’t work either.
My usual problem has been trying to send a drawing to the other player (all the games are Ping Pong mode) and having that drawing get stuck in an infinity of “working” signals.
I ended up deleting yet one more unfinished game.
I understand there are bugs when games are first introduced, but this has already gotten old. And this is the paid version! C’mon guys; can’t you fix it?
I also see no “chat” option. I’m probably overlooking it. Where is it located?
Cody, today our servers experienced problems. Right now we have fixed the problem with empty green boxes, and the game is operating normally.
For the chat opion, you now have a text field at the bottom of the Ping-Pong game screen. You can also see chat there, but it’s dimmed. Touch the text field, and you will enter the chat mode. Touch any part of the screen, and you will return to the game mode. The lines you entered in the chat will still be visible in the bottom portion of the screen.
The chat area also includes the log of all picture guesses by game participants.
Please note that you have to update to version 2.2 (via the App Store) to have this feature.

Hi again! 🙂 No real problems at the moment except one little thing. The lag in drawing. To be honest, we haven’t bought the paid version yet because we wanted to ask if purchasing the game will solve this. The problem is that, say you’re drawing a circle. You can’t see where your lines are until you take your finger off the screen. So, it’s very difficult to connect the lines for a drawing. Is that because we have the unpaid version? Re: Hacker, my hubby has been experiencing wierd words & symbols popping up on his screen, as if in Chat Mode, every time he touches the screen to draw. Started happening 2 days ago. He’s in a Ping Pong game with me, not a public room, so there should be no Chat!
iCody – yup, we have 3G’s. So, that’s probably it. My hubby may be getting an iPad pretty soon so hopefully it will improve for him. Doesn’t bother me as much but he’s actually an artist so he hates it. Thanks for responding!
When I downloaded the pone app it made me do a different name from iPad. I deleted it and thought all was fine but both are still in there. When I showed up as my own friend and deleted dragonflygirl25 it still showed up the next time. This is confusing for my friends please help. I only want to have dragonflygirl…what Cami do? Thanks!
I did that in another game once. I deleted the app, rebooted the iPhone, sync’d and reinstalled the app. Dunno if that would help here, but it’s worth a try! (zombellayaya;)
When playing a classic game in a private room, and the game ends, clicking the button to play again takes you not back to the private room, but to another random room.

Раз уж пишу, ещё пару вопросов:
1) не знаю насколько это связано с новым апдейтом, но игра стала намного чаще вылетать, просто зависает и выкидывает всех из комнаты;
2) в пинг-понг режиме при угадывании слов появляются микрофризы (т.е игра зависает на пару секунд) и только потом видишь рисунок и можешь отгадывать, так же редко случается баг с искажением рисунка множеством посторонних линий, отгадывать в таком случае невозможно;
3)оповещения о сообщениях в чате пинг-понга работают некорректно, смотришь сообщение, читаешь его, но оповещение не исчезает, таким образом они не являются помощью;
4)можно где-нибудь посмотреть всемирный рейтинг игроков, а не только свой?
А так стоит отметить, что игра с каждым новым апдейтом всё лучше и лучше, большое спасибо за это. Продолжайте в том же духе! 😉

Indigo, it may be some latency in stat calculation. We will look into these issues, those are server side. Thanks for bringing this up.
For Plus+, we don’t have access to e-mail data, so Plus+ account will be used mostly for retrieving friends list.

It does still occasionally crash but at least it’s now holding our log-in and we’re able to play. Whoo hoo! We’ll be purchasing the game tomorrow if everything goes well for the rest of they day. Soooo excited to be able to play! Thanks to everyone for your help. It was invaluable!
The keyboard is not responsive as the first charadium
and it really takes away from the fun of playing pictionary, as one needs to be fast when guessing.
Numerous times when I post an answer it is missing many letters even though I pressed all the letters..
Please fix this in the next update..

Same as the previous post. Lots of crashes in ping pong games after the update.
Chat is great though. Just wish messages would display immediately instead of having to leave and return to game.

Same here. Reinstall did make a big difference too. A lot less crashes now.
I continually have problems with the paid version. Seems to have many many many bugs. I am able to finish 1 out of 3 games without problems.
Today’s problem was also not resolved by rebooting iPad2 and deleting and reinstalling app. So I had yet another game that remained stuck; this time when it was my turn to draw, the 3 green boxes came up…that usually have words in them to draw from, only there were no words in them. After shutting down, rebooting, deleting/reinstalling (the ritual I am forced into every other day…in vain) there were still 3 blank green boxes. So I tried to select one, just to make the game progress, but that doesn’t work either.
My usual problem has been trying to send a drawing to the other player (all the games are Ping Pong mode) and having that drawing get stuck in an infinity of “working” signals.
I ended up deleting yet one more unfinished game.
I understand there are bugs when games are first introduced, but this has already gotten old. And this is the paid version! C’mon guys; can’t you fix it?
I also see no “chat” option. I’m probably overlooking it. Where is it located?

Cody, today our servers experienced problems. Right now we have fixed the problem with empty green boxes, and the game is operating normally.
For the chat opion, you now have a text field at the bottom of the Ping-Pong game screen. You can also see chat there, but it’s dimmed. Touch the text field, and you will enter the chat mode. Touch any part of the screen, and you will return to the game mode. The lines you entered in the chat will still be visible in the bottom portion of the screen.
The chat area also includes the log of all picture guesses by game participants.
Please note that you have to update to version 2.2 (via the App Store) to have this feature.

1. Можно как-то увидеть рисунок в оригинальном размере? Все же отгаданный рисунок маловат.
2. Можно ли сделать так, что бы после отгадывания можно было досмотреть как рисовали рисунок до конца? Допустим добавить кнопку “пропустить” , нажав которую, процесс прекращался и мы попадали в окно результатов.

Hi again! 🙂 No real problems at the moment except one little thing. The lag in drawing. To be honest, we haven’t bought the paid version yet because we wanted to ask if purchasing the game will solve this. The problem is that, say you’re drawing a circle. You can’t see where your lines are until you take your finger off the screen. So, it’s very difficult to connect the lines for a drawing. Is that because we have the unpaid version? Thanks again for the help!

Re: Hacker, my hubby has been experiencing wierd words & symbols popping up on his screen, as if in Chat Mode, every time he touches the screen to draw. Started happening 2 days ago. He’s in a Ping Pong game with me, not a public room, so there should be no Chat!
iCody – yup, we have 3G’s. So, that’s probably it. My hubby may be getting an iPad pretty soon so hopefully it will improve for him. Doesn’t bother me as much but he’s actually an artist so he hates it. Thanks for responding!

When I downloaded the pone app it made me do a different name from iPad. I deleted it and thought all was fine but both are still in there. When I showed up as my own friend and deleted dragonflygirl25 it still showed up the next time. This is confusing for my friends please help. I only want to have dragonflygirl…what Cami do? Thanks!
I did that in another game once. I deleted the app, rebooted the iPhone, sync’d and reinstalled the app. Dunno if that would help here, but it’s worth a try! (zombellayaya;)

Where are all the statistics? Why they have been reset?
When playing a classic game in a private room, and the game ends, clicking the button to play again takes you not back to the private room, but to another random room.

:), Нужно угадывать слова в американской комнате, это баг.
Раз уж пишу, ещё пару вопросов:
1) не знаю насколько это связано с новым апдейтом, но игра стала намного чаще вылетать, просто зависает и выкидывает всех из комнаты;
2) в пинг-понг режиме при угадывании слов появляются микрофризы (т.е игра зависает на пару секунд) и только потом видишь рисунок и можешь отгадывать, так же редко случается баг с искажением рисунка множеством посторонних линий, отгадывать в таком случае невозможно;
3)оповещения о сообщениях в чате пинг-понга работают некорректно, смотришь сообщение, читаешь его, но оповещение не исчезает, таким образом они не являются помощью;
4)можно где-нибудь посмотреть всемирный рейтинг игроков, а не только свой?
А так стоит отметить, что игра с каждым новым апдейтом всё лучше и лучше, большое спасибо за это. Продолжайте в том же духе! 😉
The game is awesome, but I think there is something iPhone users, like me, would appreciate like hell, and that is a zoom.
iPad players have a very big advantage over iPhone/iPod ones, because they can draw far more accurate.
At least you could include this on Ping-Pong games, since there is no time for drawing. That would make Charadium best game on iOS!!! 🙂
Wow, that’s a GREAT suggestion! I won’t even TRY drawing on my iPhone anymore. It’s too difficult, especially after being completely spoiled by iPad;)
Is there a way to clear drawing history or stats?

Most probably you was logged out. You have to log in back to access your stats (with email or via Facebook). Also challenges in Russian were fixed!
